1

Taking care of twins was no easy feat but Addisyn and Jaime did the job like masters.

2

Their days were filled with feedings, diaper changes, and rocking to sleep.

34

Jaime’s cousins, Coral and Roy, of course had to come see the twins. Jaime welcomed them with open arms. Since their parents had passed Jaime, Coral, and Roy hadn’t seen much of each other, each being busy with their own lives.

5

Twins aren’t easy by any means, but Keegan happened to be an extremely fussy baby, requiring lots of attention from his parents. He didn’t seem to bother his less troublesome sister but her calm demeanor never seemed to rub off on him either, much to their parent’s dismay. Oftentimes, Keegan would fuss and Addisyn or Jaime would dote on him and once he calmed down, they would walk out of the room, only to hear him start to cry again as soon as they stepped out the door.

6

Nylah always offered to babysit and let the couple go out but they didn’t feel right leaving their aunt with twins (mostly, they didn’t want to leave her with Keegan). They knew that time as a couple was important though and would go on “kitchen dates”. They’d get all dressed up and order some takeout and enjoy private time in their kitchen.

The twins didn’t stay in their cribs forever and grew into children. I think they look a lot like their grandfather! Margo was a carefree child who loved being outdoors and doing arts and crafts. Keegan preferred more academic hobbies and focused on mental tasks. He loved listening to music while he worked on his homework or made his potions.

10

Nylah loved the twins. She enjoyed reading them stories, some their grandmother had written! Keegan loved hearing new words and learning their definitions, while Margo enjoyed the new world forming in her mind. She couldn’t wait to draw what she heard.

11

Keegan and her got along well because of his love for schoolwork. She loved tutoring him and how seriously he took his education.

12

Margo liked school but she didn’t care if she got a C or an A. She liked playing with her friends and making jokes.

13

While Keegan was a bright student, he wasn’t always the brightest kid.

“Hmm. The orange waves weren’t in the directions. I wonder if I add some of the blue powder.”

14

“No, that just made it worse. Maybe the red powder?”

15

“It’s not funny, Margo! If we didn’t have the sprinkler system, we could have lost the house!”

Margo kept laughing and eventually her mother joined in too.

16

The men however remained ignorant to the joke. Like father, like son, I suppose!

1

Jaime and Addisyn had fallen head over heels for each other. Jaime wanted to take it slow and enjoy his time with her but he couldn’t stand a minute away from her.

2

Addisyn felt the same way. The couple were constantly going out on dates. Once to the movies, another time to a cafe in Newcrest, once to a spa. Every day together was a new adventure.

3.png

Jaime needed to clear his head. He was so intoxicated by Addisyn and he wanted to be sure before he took the next step with her. Jaime heard of a new location to try out his fishing so he headed to Granite Falls for the day. He had only been alone for a few hours on the lake, enjoying the beauty around him, when he realized he missed Addisyn and he wanted her to see this for herself. He called her up. He knew he was making the right choice.

4.png

A few hours later, Addisyn and Jaime had hiked back to the lake where Jaime was fishing earlier that morning.

“Jaime, what’s up? I thought you wanted to do this fishing expedition alone. I promise I was cool with that.”

5.png

Jaime didn’t answer. Instead he dropped to one knee. He didn’t even open his mouth to ask the question when Addisyn started gasping, “Yes! Of course!”

6.png

For that moment, surrounded by beautiful nature, Jaime and Addisyn could only see each other.

7.png

Addisyn had moved in and for a few weeks, life was normal. Jaime had taken up the violin.

8.png

Much to his aunt’s distress.

9.png

Addisyn worked in the garden. She loved being outdoors and dreamed of being a talented botanist. Nylah gave her some advice for the garden but had given up most of the tending to Addisyn. Working on the garden gave Addisyn time to think. She loved Jaime but she was worried he wouldn’t love her once he found out who she really was. She couldn’t hide much longer. She’d have to tell him tonight.

10.png

That night, as they were getting ready for bed, Addisyn knew she couldn’t avoid the truth any longer.

“Jaime, you don’t know me. How do you even know you love me? What if I wasn’t what I appeared to be?”

“Look, if you have a second family somewhere out there, we can talk about it. I doubt that you do but what do you think is going to make me run from you?”

11.png

“I don’t have a second family..but..”, Addisyn sat down on the bed, “this isn’t what I really look like.”

12.png

“Jaime, I’m an alien. My friends were the ones who abducted you. They knew you liked me and wanted to check you out. I’m so sorry. I’ll go.”

13.png

“Addisyn! Is that all?!”, Jaime sat beside his fiancee, “I don’t care that you’re an alien! I kind of had a hunch that you were but I wanted you to tell me. I don’t care that your friends abducted me. That experience is what made me call you in the first place. They wouldn’t stop saying your name, I thought it was a sign that I was supposed to be with you. Do you think I haven’t noticed your green glow?”

14.png

Addisyn giggled. “Whoops. The longer I wear my disguise, the harder it is to keep on top of.”

15.png

“I’ve never had to wear my disguise so long!”

“You don’t have to, you know.”, Jaime told her softly.

16.png

Addisyn stood up and slowly her appearance started to disappear and change. Her hair changed into a blue bald head, her eyes went black, her ears elongated and became pointed. Her dress changed into a foreign looking body suit and her skin became blue.

“This is the real me, Jaime.”, Addisyn said, her voice shaking.

17.png

Jaime stood up and gave her a kiss.

“I love it, I love you, no matter what side you decide to show, I love every part of you.”

18.png

While Addisyn wasn’t ready to show the world her true form, she was glad that Jaime accepted her. True to his word, when they got married under the moonlight, he didn’t pressure her to lose her disguise but instead wrapped up in his arms and told her how beautiful she was.

19.png

With friends and family surrounding them, Addisyn and Jaime became husband and wife.

The Power Legacy 6.1

1

Nylah was worried. She couldn’t find Jaime anywhere. She had looked in his room and in her sister’s old room.

2

She looked in the downstairs areas. She looked outside. Where could he be?

3

She looked at her cell phone. She called him again and again, it rang until his voicemail picked up. She had texted him over twenty times already. He had been gone for a couple of days since his mother’s funeral. If she had lost him, she didn’t know what she’d do.

4

Late one night, Nylah heard the front door open.

“Where in the world have you been? Jaime, I have been worried sick about you! Your mother didn’t want you to disappear. You have to face their death. You can’t run away forever.”

Nylah was about to continue her lecture when Jaime put his hand up.

5

“I know. I know. I don’t know where I’ve been. All I remember was being outside when I saw a bright green light. I don’t remember anything else but I swear I heard Addisyn. Maybe she knows what happened.”

“Getting black out drunk is not an option, Jaime. You need help.”

“No! I swear I wasn’t drinking. It happened right in the backyard. I was being carried by the light.”

Jaime couldn’t get Nylah to believe him. Maybe he could get someone to believe him.

6

He called the girl who had been plaguing his thoughts and filling his dream, luckily, she agreed to go out with him.

7

Jaime and Addisyn met at a local bar where he tried to tell her about his experience. He left out the part about hearing her name, just in case she found it creepy. Addisyn believed him! In fact, she knew what happened.

“You were abducted by aliens! I know it sounds crazy but trust me, I have.. friends who are aliens. They abduct people every now and again to study them. You should feel lucky they picked you. They only pick people who they think are beneficial to society.” Jaime wouln’t have believed her but then again, he knew some alien people himself. Heck, the bar even hosted Alien Night sometimes. Maybe he’d ask an alien personally. He was just glad Addisyn didn’t find him crazy. He was having a great time and asked her on a real date.

8

While Jaime was a little worried it would be awkward, he took her to the local restaurant, where he had previously met Jordan. Luckily, it seemed she was off that night.Plus she was the one that rejected Jaime anyways! Now his attention was elsewhere. Jaime smooth-talked Addisyn during the whole dinner and ordered a romantic shared dessert for the two of them.

9

Addisyn was much more responsive to Jaime than Jordan. In fact, she was quite flirty with Jaime. It was going so well for them, he decided to ask her out again.

10

The next night, Jaime took her to a party in the Ruins. They had danced all night and laughed together. When they got tired of dancing, they walked through the ruins enjoying the peace of nature around them. Jaime lit a fire for them, pulling Addisyn closer to him.

The week had been a whirlwind but Jaime was pretty sure he was falling in love with Addisyn.

11

“I think I love you, Add.”, he whispered.

“I love you too, Jaime.”, she whispered back. Jaime could have sworn she was glowing a light shade of green but he didn’t care. At this moment, he was content.

The Power Legacy 5.6

The Power Legacy 5.6

1

Nelson’s passing was not easy on the family. Olive had to learn to live without Nelson. She closed herself off, writing stories to keep her mind off her loneliness. Jaime had ventured off and was hardly at home. She didn’t know where he was going but she couldn’t face him now.

2

Nylah was the one to get Olive out of her gloom. She all but dragged Olive out of her bedroom. The two sisters became inseparable, Nylah not wanting her sister to slip back into solitude. Nylah adored spending time in the garden and would ask Olive to go hiking with her to look for new plants. Nylah was worried about Jaime too but at least he was out in the world.

3

It was true, Jaime had been out in the world. He couldn’t be in his house very long. There was nothing here to distract him but in the real world, he could focus on his fishing line and hooking the perfect catch. He was building quite the collection of fish and brought them home to keep.

4

Olive approached her son. She felt guilty about neglecting him during this hard time.
“How are you sweetheart?”, she asked.
“I’m okay. I just miss him. We were just together and then the next minute he was gone! I mean I can still remember the grotto we found.”

5

“Oh Mom, you would love it! It was beautiful. There were crystal stalagmites everywhere and it was dark but there was light coming in from above that made everything look so beautiful.”

6

“Hmm.. That reminds me of a place.”

7

Olive and Jaime headed out together the next morning. Olive took Jaime to a small neighborhood that Jaime had fished at many times. He didn’t understand what was so special when he saw his mom stop at a large tree. Suddenly, she started disappearing into the trunk as it if wasn’t there or she was a ghost.
“Mom! What are you doing? Where are you going?”, he yelled. Olive giggled. She could see the hole in the trunk but she forgot that it wouldn’t show itself to Jaime. She could just imagine what this looked like to him.
“Trust me, Jaime. Just follow me.”

8

Olive breathed in the fresh air. The place was still as beautiful as she remembered. She had forgotten all about it in her later years. Forgetting her promise to take Jaime here. She was glad she had forgotten because this seemed like the perfect time for Jaime to truly appreciate the beauty.

9

They sat and talked about Nelson and how much they missed him. They talked about Nylah and how loving she was. They talked about their collections and the places they had been. They talked about their lives. Olive telling Jaime how Nelson seemed to always know that he and Olive were going to be together. Jaime told his mom his dreams for the future.

10

After talking so long, Olive suggested they go exploring. Olive tried to catch some frogs and looked for new plants for Nylah. Jaime couldn’t wait to see what fish he could catch in the ponds and lakes.

11

“Mom, I wanted to thank you for bringing me here. I’m sorry I’ve been gone so long. I just needed time to myself.”
“I understand. I felt the same. Your father loved you so much and I love you too. I won’t be around long myself but I don’t want you to hide away again. Don’t be like me. Nelson and I, we had a wonderful life and we want you to have the best life you can have so don’t stop living and exploring. Promise me, okay?”
“I promise.”

12

Life continued for the family. Jaime spending time with his friends.

13

Olive spending time with her family. [That’s Maverick’s and Jade’s second child!]

14

One night, Jaime was out with his cousin and best friend, Roy, when Roy started staring open-mouthed.
“Dude! Check out this hottie! Man, we have got to start eating here more often.”
“Roy, why don’t you just ask her for her number?”
“No way, man! She’s not going to be interested in some kids. She needs a man!”

15

Jaime wasn’t discouraged however. He laid his best game on the waitress.
“Hey good-looking, let me take you out. When do you get off work?”

16

Surprisingly, Jordan wasn’t opposed to being flirted with by strange men at her place of work. She happily accepted Jaime’s request and they agreed to meet up at the lounge later.

17

Whatever chemistry Jordan and Jaime had at the restaurant had fizzled when they met at the lounge. Jaime tried to make her laugh with jokes but Jordan would just scoff or shake her head. Jaime asked her about herself but she would give a small polite answer and sip her drink. Finally Jordan picked her up phone and answered it. Her eyes went wide with worry.
“I’ll be right there!”, she said into the phone. She turned to Jaime, “I’m so sorry but my friend’s cowplant just died. She loved it at a lot. I should really go. I’ll call you later!” Jordan ran out of the lounge not paying her tab. Jaime sighed. He knew the phone call was fake and she wouldn’t be calling again. He paid their tab and started to leave when the lights dimmed and a spotlight came on. Jaime looked to the stage.

18

There he saw the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. She was singing a slow song, her voice filled the room like honey and made his mind melt. He had to know her. He asked the bartender her name.
“Addisyn Whitmore.”
“Addisyn.” Jaime repeated to himself. He knew he had to be with her. This is what his dad must have felt like. Jaime wanted to wait until Addisyn’s show was done but he felt his phone vibrating. His aunt Nylah was calling. He picked up, “Hello?”
“Jaime. I need you to meet me at the hospital. It’s your mother. I’m so sorry but I’ll tell you more when you get here.”

19

Olive had warned Jaime that she was going to go soon but he still was unprepared to lose her. How does one truly prepare to lose their parents anyways? Nylah tried to comfort him but she knew words weren’t going to be much for him right now. He needed time.

20

We say goodbye to Generation 5’s Olive Power. She was a childish art lover who enjoyed the outdoors. She had accomplished many goals in her lifetime starting when she was a child when she became a Whiz Kid. When she was a teen, she accomplished her dream of becoming a Friend of the World and a Leader of a Pack, mastering her skill in Charisma. As an adult, she became a Curator and built the Mansion of her dreams, later deciding to focus on becoming a Nerd Brain. After mastering her Logic Skill, she decided to try her hand at writing. While she mastered Writing, she had died before accomplishing her lifetime aspiration. She had over 20 traits! Her son, Jaime Power, will be cared for by her loving sister, Nylah Power.

The Power Legacy 5.5

The Power Legacy 5.5

1.png

Jaime Power had grown into a handsome teen. He was good and he was a perfectionist. He wanted to be a collector just like his mother. He had seen all the frogs and the crystals his mom had brought home from her hikes. He wanted to start his own collection of cool things.

3.png

Jaime didn’t have a lot of friends when he was younger but he had his cousin, Roy, and that was all he needed. Roy was the one who was able to get Jaime out of his house and his head and make him enjoy the real world and Jaime was always there to help Roy through a serious problem.

4.png

“Yo man! I’m glad you were able to come out tonight. You and I are going to dance like crazy and meet some ladies.” Roy sang the last word, dragging out the s. Jaime had to laugh. Roy was girl crazy sure but he could never find a girlfriend.

5.png

Jaime and Roy were killing it on the dance floor, showing off their best moves. They were a little freaked out by the amount of ghosts at the club but they didn’t mind the other dancers so much.

6.png

Roy had disappeared, probably trying to talk up some girls. Jaime didn’t mind being alone. He just swayed back and forth. He might even try to see if the bartender would serve him.

7.png

The night lasted a bit too long for the young teen who passed out on his porch upon returning home. Luckily Aunt Nylah found him instead of Mom and Dad. She got him cleaned up. She didn’t let him off without a strong lecture though!

8.png

Jaime went on several hikes to find fossils to add to his collection. He had been building quite of a collection for himself. While his mom had a variety of odds and ends, Jaime focused on extracting fossils and crystals. He didn’t much care for man-made treasures, he much preferred nature’s own.

9

One day he noticed a an opening in a cliff. It was boarded up but the boards were very old and weak. He managed to kick through the obstacle and climbed inside the tunnel. It was man made but it had clearly been abandoned. He didn’t want to explore this alone. He knew just who to call.

10

Newton and Jaime were amazed by the beauty of the underground grotto. There were several crystal formations that were awe-inspiring and the lake sparkled.

11

Newton and Jaime enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and fished beside each other. They would trade jokes and tell small stories but mostly they just enjoyed the silence together. Nothing was more relaxing and both the men enjoyed the moment.

But then the next moment came.

121314151617

We say goodbye to Nelson Power (formerly White). Nelson was a creative and self-assured insider. Because he was a Chief of Mischief, he became quite dastardly. Throughout his life, he mastered handiness and mischievous. After accomplishing his goal of being the Mischief King, Nelson focused on becoming a Brain Nerd, but was a level short of mastering his logic skill. Nelson loved pulling pranks on his best friend and wife, Olive Power, but was a serious and attentive father to his son, Jaime Power. He will be missed.
